Wire and cable, in simple terms, is a channel for transmitting electric energy or data signals from one location to another. Tubing protects and/or identifies such channels.
Wires, Cables and Tubing products maybe classified in innumerable ways. These include by the element they carry (e.g. Data Cables, Audio/Visual Cables, Radio Frequency Cables, etc.), by they're adjoining connections ( e.g. D-Sub Cables, USB Cables, Ethernet Cables) or by the set of specifications or functions they're designed for (.e.g. Fiber Optic Cables, Hook up Wires, Multiconductor cables, FRC/FPC/ FFC cables).
